In My Own Dimension is the first release from Triangle-based Electronic singer/songwriter BREV. A digital amalgamation of emotions; BREV. dives into his subconscious and lays down three instrumentals and two mellow pop tracks that flutter in chill vibes. GRANTED is a contemporary outlook on grief through the eyes of a millennial experiencing it for the first time. It recognizes our temporary existence at a time when humanity's purpose seems uncertain. It’s dedicated to our ancestors, our grandparents and great grandparents, and the people who make us whole. FOOLS is a coming-of-age song about wisdom. Youth and wisdom have a symbiotic relationship - as we age, we tend to become more wise. Fools represents a desire to rationalize our stubbornness, atone for a past ignorance and progress into future self confidence. These tracks are book-ended by the evanescent JAM, filled with dance beats bouncing between sampled vocal riffs and lifting synths, ZOOM - a sonic, ethereal instrumental born out of imploded dreams, and BREWED, an abstract idea of a fleeting feeling of joy summed up by a voyage yet unknown. BREV. introduces us to his melodic revolution through shared meaning and a juxtaposition that humankind’s electric currents can create ambitious change. At a different time in history, these exclamations may have fallen on deaf ears. Instead, BREV.’s revolution descends upon it’s listeners with exquisite melodies, driving the arc towards self-healing, self-realization, and self-reliance.
